Paris Grooming opened in High Street, Newhaven, East Sussex, England on the 16th July 2008. Sole Proprietor of Paris Grooming, Lea Vesti-Nielsen is a qualified Dog Groomer, and former student of the Sussex Canine Centre, Lewes.

Lea formerly worked in fashion in London, before moving to Brighton in 2006. In the Spring of 2007 Lea decided to change course and entered the Sussex Canine Centre to study to become a Canine Groomer. Plans for Paris Grooming began in August 2007 when a lengthy renovation process began, culminating in the opening of the salon in July 2008.

With a 'Gentle Touch' approach, each dog is treated as an important individual, it's needs and reactions being constantly monitored during the grooming process. Gently working with the dog, the Groomer is able to achieve the desired groom.

As an individual, each dog will react differently to grooming. Professional Groomers are able to evaluate the dog's behaviour accordingly. Paris Grooming, in undertaking a 'Gentle Touch' approach to dogs, offers a kind and caring experience. Comfort breaks are given during the groom in order to relax the dog and maintain its comfort. The bathing and drying process is tailored to the individual dog, offering a range of shampoos, conditioners and treatments. Drying is always by hand, either with stand dryers or hand held. Paris Grooming never uses drying cabinets.

Each dog is given a Seven Point Health Check and if any abnormalities are discovered these are recorded and brought to the owner's immediate attention. Owners should however continue to take their pet for its annual health check with their vet.
